The top three habits that are the most helpful if you want a fit and healthy body are:
1) Get in the habit of preparing
Those people who eat healthy meals and stay fit, plan their grocery shopping and their meals ahead of time. They do not wait until they are tired and hungry to think about their next meal or snack. They will also peruse the menu of restaurants ahead of time, checking for portion size, calories and fat, so that they make good decisions when they get to the restaurant.
2) Start sleeping more
People who get enough sleep are assuring that their hormones stay balanced. When you don’t get enough sleep, the hormones ghrelin (the one that signals hunger) and leptin (the one that signals when you have eaten enough) get out of whack. You will misread your body’s signals and will, most likely, eat food that is not good for you. It’s easier to resist temptations when you are rested.
3) Start scheduling your workouts
Don’t start each day having to make a decision about whether or not you should work out. At the beginning of each week, realistically plan your schedule for working out and commit to it the same way you would to a meeting or appointment. People who stay in shape do not think about whether they want to do it each day or not. They just put it on their schedule and keep moving!
It takes commitment and thought, but it doesn’t have to be that hard. Develop these good habits and you will gradually squeeze out the bad ones! And don’t forget to add a glass of Indian River Select Orange Juice to your diet each day for an easy and delicious way to get those vitamins your body needs.
