Despite what the root words might imply, grapefruit has nothing to do with grapes. This juicy form of citrus is however, a “great fruit.” Grapefruit offers a myriad of health benefits because it is jam-packed with vitamin C, vitamin A, carotene, and lycopene. It is also rich in polychemicals, such as flavonoids, terpens and limonoids.
The vitamins and minerals that are so plentiful in grapefruit have a positive effect on your body in a number of ways. Essentially, consuming this super fruit allows your body to soak up the nutrients from the inside and work its way out. Not to mention, the crisp citrus scent that grapefruit gives off is all natural and refreshingly pleasant.

You can also use it to make a homemade mask or purchase skin care products that include grapefruit as the main active ingredient.
