May has arrived and we’re here enjoying the wonders of spring. Yet, there’s one important thing we can’t forget this month: spring-cleaning! This annual ritual is about deep cleaning your home. . We know it can be bit overwhelming, but when done right, it can be a breeze!
Here are a few tips:
Make a plan
Organize yourself and make a cleaning plan. Going room-by-room is usually the most effective way to clean deep. Focus on the areas of your home that have been neglected and not cleaned recently.
Un-shelf the shelves!
Take everything off the shelves, use a dust brush or vacuum to brush everything including books!
Beat the furniture!
Take your sofas’ and chairs’ cushions outside and gently beat them to remove dust.
Detach and go minimal
Break your attachments to stuff you never use! Donate or sell them! It’s hard to let go, but someone else will give it better use and you will eventually feel lighter.
Get your family involved
Get your family together and assign them chores. It will be a great way to spend some time together and teach them valuable lessons.
Re-think the fridge:
Throw out stuff that’s gone bad and give you fridge a deep. It’s also the perfect time for you to re-think your grocery shopping choices! Are you selecting the best products and brands for yourself and your family? What kind of foods are you buying? Keep it simple! Buy brands that you trust, products that have ingredients you know and can pronounce, and stay away from over-processed foods!
