Making Memories with Indian River Select

There is something so special about being able to share things from your childhood with your own child. It’s even better when those things have the same quality as they did so many years ago. Being a born and raised Florida girl, Indian River Select was the orange juice that was always in our fridge and it’s the only one you’ll find in mine now!

Indian River Select orange juice is 100% premium orange juice with no added sugar, preservatives, flavors, or gluten. It’s not from concentrate and just tastes so unbelievably fresh that my non-juice loving kiddo enjoys it. I also love that they are offering new varieties in addition to their original orange juice. You can now choose from Grapefruit (my favorite for cooking and making drinks), Orange Carrot, Orange Carrot Beet Blend, Honey Bell, Passion Fruit, and 100% Valencia (little guy’s favorite). While it used to be available only in Florida, after over 20 years, you can find it at over 3,500 stores across the country! Thanks to all the different choices, I love that I can easily make sure we are getting in our daily dose of vitamin C along with so many other important benefits we need like potassium and calcium! It’s also an easy way to get in some extra servings of fruits and vegetables for those picky eaters in your life.

In addition to enjoying our juice as is, I love to use it in my cooking! You can find so many yummy recipes on Indian River Select’s website but I have so much fun playing around with flavors and creating my own recipes.

My favorite one so far is a yummy Cuban-style marinade I make using a mix of Indian River Select 100% Valencia Orange and Grapefruit juices. It’s perfect on pork or chicken and also makes a delicious marinade for grilled veggies.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1/2 cup Indian River Select 100% Valencia Orange juice
  • 1/2 cup Indian River Select Grapefruit juice
  • 5-10 garlic cloves (depends on how garlicky you like it)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Salt (or more depending on your taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground Oregano (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (optional)

I add this all to a food processor and blend it together. Veggies only need 30-45 minutes to marinade but, I suggest 24 hours in the fridge for chicken and pork for maximum flavor!

To find out where you can get your hands on Indian River Select, kindly check out your local Winn-Dixie, Publix, Ingles, Whole Foods Market, Walmart, The Fresh Market, Lunds & Byerlys, Kroger, Lucky’s Market, Earth Fare, Wegmans, or Bravo stores. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
