Smoothies To Go
Staying healthy doesn’t have to involve hours of shopping and meal prep. Sometimes it’s just as simple as grabbing a few key ingredients and whipping up a delicious, nutritious smoothie. Smoothies are the perfect go-to snack/meal that can support your busy lifestyle and help you maintain healthy eating habits, even when you’re on the go.
Orange Juice Get Up ‘n Go Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup Indian River Select Orange Juice
- 1/2 frozen banana, sliced
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen mango chunks (or Strawberries)
- 2 Ice Cubes
Directions:
- Place all ingredients in the blender and blend until it is the preferred consistency.
- This should be enough for 2 servings – refrigerate the remaining smoothie portion for up to 24 hours.
Hydrating Grapefruit Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 1 1/3 cups Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
- 8 strawberries
- 2 bananas
- 8 ounces yogurt (vegan alt – coconut yogurt or coconut cream)
- 2 tablespoons honey (vegan alt. agave nectar or vegan honey)
- 1 cup crushed ice
Directions:
- Place all ingredients in the blender and blend until it is the preferred consistency.
- This should be enough for 2 servings – refrigerate the remaining smoothie portion for up to 24 hours.
